A protest against the deportation of a 21-year-old, 'highly autistic' man took place at Castlegate, Saturday 26 September.

The event intended to raise awareness of the plight of Osime Brown who is currently facing deportation to Jamaica following an arrest for stealing a mobile phone in 2018.

If Successful, the deportation would see Brown sent to Jamaica, a country he has not lived in since the age of 4-years.

Saturday's demonstration saw around 15 to 20 people in attendance. It was organised by AUSA Disabled Students Forum, Hysteria and BLM Scotland.

A petition in support of Brown had reached almost 50,000 signatories as of Monday evening.
