Glaswegian band Anchor Lane makes its explosive return back to the music scene with the release of their sophomore album, Call This A Reality? The twelve-track album will feature songs like ‘Choke’ and ‘The Static’, and will be welcomed back by old and new fans alike.

Anchor Lane can be best described as combining the vivacious sound of Nothing But Thieves with a Scottish edge, and brings a new flow to British alternative rock. Songs like ‘Electric Karma’ offset the heavy electric guitar with an upbeat snare while the album’s title track ‘Call This A Reality?’ features a rippling guitar solo.

No strangers to playing live, either, as the trio—Conor, Lawrence, and Graeme—has been seen at a number of festivals, including Download, Isle of Wight, Stone Free and Belladrum. In 2022, they made a return at Download, and also made debuts at Steelhouse and Call of the Wild. Anchor Lane, energetic and vibrant, know how to make an appearance that sticks, and they’ve established themselves as regulars on the UK rock scene.

The band hit the ground running in 2020 with their debut album Casino, entering the Official UK Rock Albums Chart at number nine. Call this A Reality? appears to be following the trend, coming tenth on the Rock and Metal Chart, and fifth on the Official UK Indie Album Breakers Chart. It hasn’t been all smooth-sailing, though. They hit a wall in 2020 when the pandemic struck, putting their tour on hold. 3 years later, they want to make up for lost time with an impressive tour of 14 locations across the UK in little under a month. The band are now making their rounds across the UK on tour, and will be in Aberdeen on the 24th of February at Krakatoa.
