Aberdeen International Comedy Festival is ready to take over the City and there’s easily a show for everyone. Whether you like spoken word, or comedy-and-music, the Comedy Festival is the place to be. This year’s guests include Fringe favourites, as well as Aberdeen-based stand out headliners.

This funny treat, brought to you by Aberdeen Inspired, has a lot in store for the 11 days it will be running, October 3-14. So, if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, you still have time to access plenty of the exclusive shows out there.

Headliners include Fern Brady, who was described as one of the UK’s hottest comedy stars. Known for being totally unique and fearless, her new show will tackle sexuality, feminism, power, Brexit, Britishness, Scottishness and nationality: all with her caustic wit, exceptional writing and electric stage craft; another unmissable show is ‘Daniel Sloss: X’ , the stunning live show from Scotland’s internationally acclaimed and award‐winning star of two global Netflix specials ‘DARK’ & ‘Jigsaw’; and if you like a good jam of music and comedy, watch out for Irish hip hop musical comedian Abandoman, whose trademark performance blending audience interaction with razor-sharp improvisation will take you on a magical journey, transforming the audience’s passions, problems and daydreams into hit songs and captivating tales.

Want to blow off some steam after exhausting essay writing, but can’t go too far away before the deadlines? Nae worries. The Comedy Festival is ready to come to you: venues include the popular Lemon Tree, Tivoli Theatre, Spin and Aberdeen Music Hall, minutes away from campus.
