The day after the US inauguration of Donald Trump, Elon Musk held a public conference to make an apology for his actions during his speech. Some people thought he made a motion resembling the Nazi salute and he wanted to set the record straight:
“I’m deeply sorry that some people thought I could have been doing the Nazi salute. I want to make it known to everyone that I was definitely doing it. I should have been more precise in my actions, or perhaps done it for longer.”
Musk went on to address Fox News omitting that part of his speech from some of their broadcasts, describing their choice as “disheartening”. Why would they hide this from those most likely to support it? Seemed like an odd choice, according to Musk.
He would never want people to suspect he was a Neo-Nazi or antisemite; he wants them to be sure of it. I mean, he even did it twice for clarity! So many so-called Trump supporters are trying to defend him, but he wants support instead. None are supporting what Musk knows deep down they agree with.
Presenting himself as an innovator of a new America, Musk said he will be sure to be less ambiguous in future actions when defending the Nazi Party. “The fella wasn’t great with mustaches, but he had some good ideas!” Musk joked. When no one laughed he left the stage.
When people continued to act like the Hitler salute was simply an awkward gesture, Musk decided to make a trip to Germany to show support for the far-right political party, Alternative for Germany (AfD). He hopes that finally, he has made his intentions clear.
