Thanking clientele for a \u201cwild ride\u201d, the post celebrated more than 359 Thursday parties, and over 143 thousand dancers since September 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The post garnered teary goodbyes with one comment labelling the moment as \u201cthe end of an era.\u201d <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">One second year student UoA student said:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cI&#8217;m heartbroken it\u2019s closing. [It is] one of Aberdeen&#8217;s best nights out for sure!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Speaking about the closure, RARE founder and director Rory Mason told <em>The Gaudie<\/em> that as numbers have begun to dwindle, now is the time to call it a day:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cAs numbers are falling with people drinking less overall and having less disposable cash to spend on nights out, it\u2019s time to bow out whilst we\u2019re at the top of our game.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ms Mason says the brand started as &#8220;house parties&#8221;, quickly establishing itself in local venues:<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cAt the time, Snafu [nightclub] was where you went for underground nights, it shaped my music taste and the people around me. It\u2019s now the extra seating area for Brewdog, which says a lot about the change in nightlife culture.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mr Mason says their unique nature drew in loyal crowds:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWe\u2019ve always straddled the line of being underground but not scary for newcomers.
