From the 1st April 2024, five libraries will have new opening hours, which includes Saturdays. The additional hours these libraries will be open to the public can be seen below:

  • Culter: Mondays 1-7pm and Tuesdays 10am-1pm and 2-3pm

  • Dyce: Mondays 5-8pm and Saturdays 10am-1pm

  • Mastrick: Saturdays 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm

  • Tillydrone: Saturdays 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm

  • Torry: Saturdays 10am-1pm

This is positive news for community members as they have faced library closures in recent years.

The decision was taken following a consultation with the public, which received more than 1900 responses.

However, the move is only temporary while the longer-term review of Aberdeen’s library services is being carried out. This review will discuss staffing, library access and testing new ways to provide these services in the community.
